Do you always get ridiculed for your name?
Yes, even when I was still in school, people have been making fun of it. When you say, “Jacq Yu,” I say, “Jacq me?” It’s a very cheeky name. And catchy, too! Okay siya kaya nga hindi na pinalitan yung name ko for showbiz.

Do wisecracking men also use it to hit on you?
Many times. They say silly stuff like, “Are you really gonna Jacq me?” And I’d say, “No you Jacq me! Don’t you know I have ‘that’ also because I’m from Thailand?” Ha ha! But I’m just kidding—I’ve never been to Thailand!
