When was the first time you wore a bikini?
I think I was 16 at the time. It was for a contest, Hataw Super Body. That was also my first time joining a bikini contest, naging first runner-up naman.
You didn’t get conscious, being young and all?
To me, as long as you’re not doing anything wrong, at wala kang pinapakita, okay lang.
But do you wear them, say, on a normal day out on the beach?
I like going around a beach in short shorts and a hanging shirt more. Wala kasi akong tiyan eh…
Yun ang panlaban ko eh, ha ha!
Is this a genetic thing or the product of gym work?
Dati pa ito. Malakas akong kumain, as in isang bandehadong kanin kaya ko, pero di talaga lumalaki ang tiyan ko. Maybe it’s in my genes.
What’s the best beach you’ve been to?
Boracay. Dahil din sa inyo yun. That was for the FHM Bikini Heaven event last year, masaya, party-party. Tapos nandoon pa yung idols ko, sina Sam Pinto, Katrina Halili, and Solenn Heussaff.
Were you able to have fun in Boracay apart from work?
Gusto ko talagang mag-swimming, but I didn’t get to do that in Boracay.
Back to beaches, have you ever been on a vacation with a boyfriend?
Would you like to?
Maliligo kayo tapos labing-labing…
That’s a word we haven’t heard in a while. Will the labing-labing happen on the sand?
Gusto ko kasi kapag may ginagawa kaming ganun, it should stay private talaga.
Close all the doors and windows!
Ha ha! Oo. We also cover ourselves with a blanket and turn off the lights—pero minsan binubuksan din.
You mentioned in your first interview that you’re independent. Why? And at such a young age?
May problema kasi sa family ko eh. I didn’t grow up with my mother and I’ve never met my father. I grew up with my tita in Nueva Ecija. I started working.
Sob. Are there any other things that we’d be surprised that an 18-year-old girl like you already knows?
Kasi andami ko nang naranasan talaga. Growing up in a different family really tested my character, kung gaano ako katatag. I mean, let’s face it, I wasn’t always going to be treated as part of their family. I had to look out for myself.
