With her beauty, voluptuous frame, and oozing sex appeal, Laika Pangilinan has always turned heads everywhere she goes. This young model --- a dead ringer for Brooke Burke, if you ask us --- has learned to embrace the spotlight, making the most out of the opportunities that have come her way.
Having lived in the states, Laika feels life is more fast-paced compared to lazy old Manila. But wherever she goes, this innocent and sweet girl-next-door somehow manages to turn heads, freeze time, and make everything go on slow-mo.
Laika has graced FHM late last year, and if you're like us, you haven't been able to get this bombshell out of your mind either. Out of sight, out of mind? Not quite.
Funny pickup lines, boy toys and "the size"-all these and more in this month's installment of FHM Online Babe.
How does it feel to pose for the country's best-selling magazine?
I feel very fortunate. FHM is a great magazine to be a part of.
How did you find the theme of your shoot? How did you prepare for it?
It came up spontaneously. I knew it was the same photographer I worked with, the first time I posed for FHM so I was excited. Working with Dr Marlon and his crew is always fun.
Are you seeing someone lucky nowadays? A celebrity boytoy, perhaps?
I'm single. Hopefully, my prince will come soon. It doesn't matter if he's a celebrity or not as long as he's sweet and has a great smile. Oh! And not broke. Hahaha!
What is your ultimate kilig moment?I was with this guy and on our second date he gave me a beautiful necklace from Tiffany and Co. It was kinda unexpected but definitely sweet!
The sexiest thing and most memorable thing he did for you?He got a suite overlooking the Pacific [ocean], and let's just say that there were rose petals, candles, and a warm bath ready. But a girl is not supposed to kiss and tell.
Do you prefer to rough it up outdoors or do you like to share intimate sweet-nothings at home?
I'm too much of a sweetheart. I like it more intimate and behind closed doors.
How is life here compared in the US? How would you compare Pinoys with foreigners (or Americans) in terms of them dealing with girls?
I spent half of my childhood in Manila and it's not as fast paced as in the US. Pinoys are very sweet and some act very timid. Foreigners on the other hand are a little more aggressive when it comes to courting girls.
At what age did you realize you were a hit among boys?
Gosh, I have to say it was probably around 12.
Ever had your share of funny pick-up lines? Or do you have your own pick-up line that you use to get to know boys?
I have one! And I use it whenever I'm out clubbing. "Hey, you look so familiar. Are you that one guy who bought me a drink last time?" And they usually respond, "No, but can I buy you a drink?" It works every time.
Would you go for someone older or younger?
Age really doesn't matter. It's all about the personality.
And the size matter?
Yup! Let's face it! You don't go fishing to catch the smallest fish do you?
Have you ever been hit on by any ladies?
Yes and it's flattering. But I never take up the offer.
Who's your ultimate celebrity crush?
Johnny Depp. I've had a crush on him since I was little. Celebrity or not, it's just something about the way he carries himself that's so sexy.
Do you prefer the "pretty looking boys" or real men?
It has to be a combination of both. I wouldn't go for a pretty looking boy if he's not a real man. If it's the other way around, what's not to say that I would get tempted if something better looking came along.
What were your passions growing up?
Volleyball! I was the team captain. I've always loved being in the spotlight.
What keeps you busy nowadays?
Bunch of stuff... One of them is modeling, I have a full time job whenever I'm in the states, and in my personal side of life I spend a lot of time with my dad. It's a Filipino thing to be good to their elders.
What are your future plans?
Hopefully get into acting and do good at it. And also, spend more time in the Philippines and enjoy life.
When I get old I wanna look back and I don't want to have any regrets on what I could've or should have done.
