Yes, mahilig akong magluto. Kumuha ako ng culinary classes three years ago.

When did your passion for food first blossomed?
Nung naging independent ako, hindi kami marunong magluto ng mga kaibigan ko so one time pumunta kami sa market para bumili ng pang-adobo at sinigang tapos ako ang nagluto. Nasarapan naman sila. Nakikita ko din kasi yung lola ko na nagluluto, kasi chef siya.  Meron din akong ex-boyfriend na kumuha din ng culinary class so nagtuloy-tuloy na.

And what would you cook to impress?
Hmm, ang specialty ko siguro puro pasta at pastry.

Hindi lang lalake, pati mga kaibigan! Gusto na nila akong ampunin lahat. Sinasabi nila gusto na daw nila akong i-take home, ha-ha!

Ever thought of pursuing a culinary career full-time?
Magsisimula pa lang ako ngayong mag-catering. My plan is manghihiram muna ako ngayon ng mga tao at gamit. May friend din ako na nag-take ng baking class at may bake shop din siya so makikisosyo muna ako. Gagamayin ko muna. Ayoko muna mag-solo kasi baka malugi. Baka hindi pa mag-work out.

Since we’re looking at a future entrepreneur, what business advice would you give us?
Be wise, at ingat lang sa mga taong magiging kasosyo mo. Sabi sa culinary class namin nagkaroon din ng entrepreneur class for a few days. Better daw na hindi mo kaibigan para walang hiyaan, gulangan, pero ayos lang din naman ang friends kung mapag-uusapan ng maayos di ba?

But that’s not say you’re not a good friend, because you are, yes?
I’m a great friend! Kahit pagod na pagod ako dati sa mga shows, kapag meron akong kaibigan na broken-hearted or may problem at kailangan niya ng kausap, kahit gaano kalayo – from north to south – pupunta ako. Crying shoulder ako, ha-ha!

Who’s your crying shoulder in return?
Siguro my manager. Kami talaga yung buddy-buddy. Magkasama talaga kami palagi lalo na kapag single ako.

We’d like to be your crying shoulder. How would we get your attention?
Actually kapag may spark, at gusto kita, at sana walang dating na mayabang. Basta makulit, masayang kausap, masayahin, parang ako – walang arte at hindi feeling mayaman. Basta may sense of humor at responsableng tao.

Your independent nature could intimidate a lot of men.
Natutuwa nga sila kapag sinasabi kong ayoko na bine-baby ako. Kahit meron akong shooting ng movie, ako nagda-drive. Kapag wala yung PA ko, hindi ako kumukuha ng iba kasi ayokong magtiwala kasi baka may mawala, mahirap na. Madalas ganun.

How would you describe yourself as a girlfriend?
Parang mommy ako as a girlfriend kasi maasikaso, nagluluto, tsaka maintindihin. Hindi din ako selosa, at ayoko din na nai-istorbo ko yung boyfriend ko.
