How did you find the shoot?
Okay naman masaya. It was fun. Nakakapagod but it’s fun. My favorite layout would be yung may kasamang birds, yung naka-black ako. Basta yung me kasama akong birds sa background.

Birds? So, you are fond of birds?
(Laughs) Ikaw ha! Naughty ka! Mahilig sa birds! Ha ha ha!

Moving on… How does it feel posing for FHM the second time around?
Masaya. I really feel so privileged posing for FHM.

You’ve entered a lot of reality shows. There’s The Amazing Race Asia, White Castle’s Search, and now you’re also included with RAN Calendar.
Yeah. Yung RAN, parang hindi naman siya contest. Gumawa sila ng calendar tapos kinuha nila ko to be featured for the month of December.

So, are you really adventurous?
Simula bata pa talaga. Mahilig na talaga ko sa ganun, like tumatalon sa mga pool o kung saan-saan. I’m really into exciting na sports. Mahilig na talaga ako sa adventure.

And what kind of extreme sports can we see in your list?
Right now, I like wakeboarding and I’m also planning to learn how to Motocross. Tapos yung iba puro mga challenge like bungee jumping. That’s what I’m into right now.

You really love having an adrenalin rush. What kind of satisfaction do you get from all of these knowing that you’re just an inch closer to mishap?
Ayun nga eh! That’s the fun part of it. I mean, of course it’s always good to be careful in everything you do pero life is too short to be boring and just do nothing. At least you might as well enjoy your life before you die. You’ll never know what will happen when you walk out that door. Reality di ba? You can die anytime. So, that’s why, “Live life to the fullest.”

And that would be a great motto in life. But when it comes to bed are you still that adventurous?
Ikaw talaga! But yeah! (Laughs) Of course!

And by being adventurous in bed, that would mean?
Ha ha ha! Secret. It’s for me to know and for you to find out.

Aside from doing extreme sports, what else makes Jacq Yu happy?
Siguro if I see other people happy. Parang self-fulfillment na I know me nagagawa ako, me na-aachieve ako na goals or me natutulungan ako or anything. Every little thing na ginagawa ko to make a difference, that’s actually fun for me.

So, what keeps you busy?
Aside from modeling, right now I’m into acting. I’m with ABS-CBN right now and I’m doing this comedy show called “Parekoy” and then soon I’ll be doing “Kung-Fu Kids” pero siyempre hindi ako yung kid! (Laughs) Kaya panoorin ninyo na lang. Watch me!

When it comes to guys, what would be your biggest turn-on?
Siguro dapat humble saka smart and responsible.

As for your biggest turn-off?
Turn-off siguro when they’re arrogant. They think they’re the coolest person on earth. Yung parang feeling nila they’re somebody. Kasi tayo we’re all the same, no one’s higher than another. Kahit pa you’re the president. Sabihin na natin na your status is higher pero as a person we’re all equal. So, feeling kapag tingin nila mas mataas sila, they’re just shit and turn off talaga yun.

Can you describe yourself as girlfriend?
As a girlfriend, I’m a very good girlfriend! I keep my boyfriend satisfied. (Laughs)

Satisfied?
Yeah. Me, as a person. I’m a good girl; I’m a good person. So I treat them good!

And what are your future plans?
Well, I hope to be good in this business, to be successful in the industry I’m with right now and that eventually I’ll put up my own business. Then after that travel around the world and at the same time help make a difference. Yun kasi talaga ever since yung goal ko eh. Parang gusto gumawa ng kahit ano, may it be like a show or anything basta ang cause talaga is to help other people and make a difference.

So you’re really quite a humanitarian. Any plans of entering public service?
I wanted to before. Pero dito ako napunta sa line na ito eh. I mean kung nandito ka na sa line na ito, you make the most out of it. Kung ano yung pwede mong magawa in your work, then better do something.

But most of the time some people skipped the lines to enter politics right?
Well, hopefully in the future. Why not di ba? If I can make this world a better one why not?

What would be the biggest misconception about you?
Maybe when I seem to be like ditzy, or yung super-girly na para kang di serious na type. Kasi ako I love to laugh and kapag ganun kasi kapag you’re a happy person sometimes other people they don’t take you too seriously. They think you’re just shallow and everything pero I really have this side na serious talaga. There are stuff na I really want to do in my life that other people don’t know.

So you’ve been quite the globetrotter, The Amazing Race and all. Are there still places you want to go to?
Number one na gusto kong puntahan, meron kasi akong list eh. Basta yung number one, Egypt. I don’t know why. I’m obsessed with Egypt and cats. I don’t know maybe I’m an Egyptian before, malay mo ako si Cleopatra before! (Laughs) Basta Egypt talaga eh. Parang me mystery talaga eh. Tapos, the second country will be Africa. Like yung good part ng Africa, yung mga nice parts niya like the wild and even yung bad part like yung mga slums. Kasi if you are there, para siguro yun yung sampal sa iyo nang reality na parang “Oy” na parang with the kind of living you have right now na parang lucky ka. Parng nga yung pulubi dito sa Philippines compared doon sa pulubi sa Africa mas worse pa yung living conditions nila. Imagine mo like yung sa atin ngayon, yung two minutes na running water sa atin sa kanila yung two minutes na running water natin, whole day na nilang ginagamit yun. Isipin mo yun di ba?

So, if ever you run for public office, conserving water is an automatic on your platform?
Ako sa shower na ako nagtu-tootbrush. (Laughs) Para talagang conserve water!
