What happens when you put two incredibly talented people together in a room? Forget your nasty thoughts, bro. And forget the ongoing bromance trend, too. In honor of FHM Hero Joey de Leon and Igan D’Bayan’s joint art exhibit opening today , we thought we came out with a list of the most thunderous tandems this country has seen in recent years.
When quick-witted Joey de Leon met the perfect sidekick in funny ugly man, Rene Requiestas, the whole country was in for tons of laughter. From the late 80s to the early 90s, they made at least a dozen movies together, including hilarious parodies such as Elvis and James, and Long Ranger and Tonton. Their most memorable work remains the Tony Y. Reyes obra, the Starzan trilogy with Joey as the titular character and Rene as Cheeta-eh. Rene may be dead now, but his "Cheetae, ganda lalake!" line lives on!
