By now, we all know the extent of damage that Typhoon Ondoy has wrought Luzon last Saturday, September 26. 455 millimeters of rain was dumped in Quezon City alone, which asianjournal.com compares to the 250 millimeters of rain that Hurricane Katrina brought to New Orleans in the United States in 2005.

As of 12 noon today, 28 September 2009, death toll has risen to 100, while damage to infrastructure and agriculture are estimated at P109million.  Such havoc, Ondoy. Why?
