The Extended CinemAlexis
More than a month ago, Alexis Tioseco, a well-respected film critic, was found dead at his home. CinemAlexis, a series of film screenings as curated by top cinematic minds such as Quark Henares and Erwin Romulo, is the film-loving community’s tribute to the man. It was originally just a weekend-long but hey ho, looks like it hit the heart! CinemAlexis has an extended run this weekend. Head on over to Mogwai in Cubao X on October 16 and 17, and catch the last two days of this wonderful tribute.
Here are the scheduled screenings for the said dates:
October 16:
7 PM Francesco Guillare Di Dio directed by Roberto Rossellini
9 PM Mouchette directed by Robert Bresson
11 PM Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans directed by F.W. Murnau
October 17: selections by Erwin Romulo

Underpass Launch at KOMIKON
October 18 is a marked date for comic book fans as KOMIKON happens over at Megatrade Hall 1 at SM Megamall. The event will also be the venue for the launch of Summit Media’s first ever graphic novel, Underpass.
Underpass invites you to “take a trip to the other side and come face to face with your most horrible nightmares, your deepest secrets, your greatest fears.” This anthology contains four stories penned and drawn by local talents like Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisomo, all of which promise to give you chills and thrills.
