World Pyro Olympics 2009

It's that time of the yea again! The World Pyro Olympics 2009 is ongoing over at the Fort Open Grounds behind High Street starting this Saturday November 21.
Spectators will get to see the best in the business light up the sky like New Year is not coming anymore. Pyrolympics starts this weekend with Korea and Germany lighting up the sky. Closing weekend is on December 19, which is when the Philippines will be showing the world what they got.

Mangaholix Manga Mania 2009
Get your geek fix this weekend at Mangaholix Manga Mania 2009. Over ten thousand anime, manga, and gaming fans will unite for two days of awesome fun.

Special guests such as Pol Medina (Pugad Baboy), and Carlo Vergara (Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah) along with other great comic book creators will be on hand to talk about the state of comics in the Philippines.

Providing the music will be bands such as Kjwan, Faspitch, Taken By Cars, Blue Boy Bites Back, Urbandub, and many more. And of course, the usual suspects abound: art contests, cosplay contests, and lots of other stuff that will excite the anime fan in you.

Mangaholix Manga Mania happens from November 21 to 22, with gates opening at 10 AM. The event happens at World Trade Center's East Pavillion in Pasay City.

Republic Movement
Over at Westgate in Alabang, Republic Movement happens on November 21 and 22, 2009. Republic Movement invites all those who give a lick about wakeboarding, skateboarding and urban culture to check out their winch pool (for wakeboarding) and skate park, both of which will be open to the public.

Pro wake riders such as Nick Davies, Shawn Watson, and Kim Yong Il (not the dictator) will be at the event to showcase their skills as well. It’s a can’t miss event for all you fans of extreme sports.
