Red Horse Beer
From sanmiguelbeer.com.ph: “It has a distinctive, full flavored taste and extra satisfying strength of a world- class premium strong beer. This is the strongest beer in the market, marking a 6.8% alcohol content by volume.”
What it says about you: You’re astig, you like heavy rock music, and you think any other beer in the market will tarnish your credibility as a rocker. If not that, you really just like getting wasted, and fast!
Red Horse Beer, with their Muziklaban promotions and all, has become the beer of choice for most aspiring rock musicians. And so, since most aspiring rock musicians tend to begin to aspire at a young age, they usually tend to lose control easily and go overboard with the Red Horse.
It, of course, politely gives them a thunderous, knockout kick, and a hangover they’ll forever remember. Yuppies who have yet to outgrow their rock aspirations are fair game for this happy horse as well.
Gold Eagle
From sanmiguelbeer.com.ph: “It is moderately light bodied, yet flavorful, hopped just enough to give a little bite on the finish bringing out an over-all "easy drinking" character.”
What it says about you: You’re a hardworking man, and you like finishing off a hard day’s work of tilling the fields with your pals with some bottles of Gold Eagle. Also, you idolize April Boy Regino.
The working man’s beer, Gold Eagle is the most affordable than any other beer in this list. And now, here’s something fun to do: sneak a Gold Eagle in a high class club or bar, and once you’re in, drink the Gold Eagle, and make sure that a lot of people see it.
To top it all off, have a toast with some stranger in the pub drinking their expensive beer.
Cerveza Negra
From sanmiguelbeer.com.ph: “It has roasted malty notes, which extends to its taste. It is full-flavored and full bodied. Bitterness is moderate but still smooth.”
What it says about you: You have discerning tastes. Well, that or you just want to point out that you’re better than everyone else, and you don’t settle for heavily marketed beer brands.
For most of us who grew up with Pale, Cerveza Negra might have an alien taste—enough to make many of us to think, “hey, this isn’t beer!” But rest assured, it is beer. It’s just flavored with different things. Abroad, they sell it as San Miguel Dark Lager, possibly to avoid being accused as a racist.
