4. The Playstation Move, out in September
Not to be outdone, Sony is getting in on the motion-controlling action with their answer to Microsoft’s Kinect, the Playstation Move.

The motion-control system Sony plans to employ has three components: 1) the navigation controller, 2) the motion controller, and 3) the Playstation Eye.
The navigation controller is pretty much a modified Dual Shock 3 controller that can be held in one hand, so that you’ll be able to accommodate the motion controller on the other.
The motion controller is a wand-like device that tracks your location and senses motion. In simple terms, you move it around to elicit some kind of response in your game.
The Playstation Eye on the other hand is used to track the movement of the motion controller; without it, the controller won’t work.
We know what you’re thinking. Those are a lot of peripherals, and it’s going to be expensive. And you are right. The motion controller costs $49, the navigation controller is $39, and the Eye is $39. Looks like rich kids are going to have all the fun again.
5. Metal Gear Solid: Rising is just plain awesome
Just watch the video.
We’ve never seen better footage of watermelons being sliced and diced.
The game is coming out on the PS3, the Xbox 360, and the PC. The bad news: the release date is TBA. Man, we hate that acronym.
