The bad news is that Marian Rivera, formerly the top babe in FHM’s 100 Sexiest, has still yet to do that FHM cover we’ve all been yearning for.
But it’s her birthday today, August 12, so even if we’re dearly missing her presence on our cover, we do wish her all the best, as the Kapuso artist turns 26.
In a report by PEP.ph, the actress’ answer, when asked about what her wish is, was short and trite, yet humble and grateful. “Yes, happiness lang po. Hindi na po ako naghahangad pa ng material things. Tama na po ang blessings na patuloy na dumarating sa akin.”
Marian, and quite possibly one of the luckiest men in the land, boyfriend Dingdong Dantes initially had plans to stay in Hongkong for the actress’ birthday.
Those plans had to be curtailed not because of rumors that the two had been quarreling (which have since been denied in a report from GMA) but because of Marian Rivera’s packed schedule, never-ending projects, and maybe because of a heartfelt visit to a fan suffering from Leukemia.
Along with GMA 7’s korea-novela remake Endless Love and the sitcom Show Me Da Manny, Marian is busy with the remake of the 1988 classic Super Inday and The Magic Bibe, which formerly starred Maricel Soriano as Super Inday and Aiza Seguerra as the titular duck.
The remake is set to be shown in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Fest. The question that begs to be asked as of the moment: Is everything just a remake nowadays?!
But the even bigger question was thankfully asked by PEP. In light of Ogie and Regine’s wedding bells announcement last Sunday, August 8 (after 7 years of being together), the popular entertainment website asked Marian if she can wait 7 long years before finally tying the knot.
Marian’s reply: “"Hindi po rin natin masabi. Kapag sinabi na ni Lord, 'Anak, sige na,' di go, magpapakasal na ako!"
We wish the lady well for her birthday and future plans for marriage, but we also certainly hope the Lord tells Marian to pose for us soon!
