We all love Rex Navarette, renowned Fil-Am funnyman who’s been long known to humor Filipino audiences with his clear-cut mockery of the Filipino culture. The man has released several comedy specials on DVD, including 2003’s Hella Pinoy and 2005’s Bad-ass Madapaka.
Those who have not seen Rex may have heard his material on the animated web show SBC Packers. That was some funny shit, FHM-approved. And if you're one to watch late night talk shows, Rex actually appeared and performed on The Lopez Show earlier this year. Why, he's already a legend!
Due to insistent public demand after a sold-out show last August, Rex Navarette is coming back to stage Rex Navarette: Rex Reloaded on Wednesday, November 16, at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. And since he’s on a roll, Rex will also do a show called Rex Navarette Live on Friday, November 25, at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.
What Rex is promising in his next performances: he will be dishing out another serving of his unique take and quirky observations on being Filipino, life in general, and famous personalities—including world-class champ, Manny Pacquiao. Joining the legendary stand-up comedian this time around are point-of-view comedy specialist Mike Unson and celebrated magician-comedian JB Dela Cruz, both of which will serve as opening acts and get the laughter going for both nights.
Ticket prices will vary from P750 (General Admission), P1,500 for Bronze seats, P2,000 for Silver seats, P3,000 for Gold seats, P5,000 for Platinum seats. And if you’re really into the guy’s material, P7,000 for the VIP seats, which includes a backstage pass.
