I used to be a big believer in Santa Claus. As a kid, I got a bicycle from “Santa.” I remember the bike was blue, covered with Superman stickers. It was tradition to parade our gifts for Christmas, so in turn I boasted my bicycle and emphasized where it came from. I ended up getting into a fight with my cousins, who didn’t believe in Santa, and who I bet a million pesos that whoever was wrong about Santa would give the other the money.

Now that I’m no longer a kid but a grown man, the story has become a staple alaska my family and relatives use to humiliate me every Christmas get-together. My cousin always teases me to this day to pay her my debt, kahit down payment lang daw.
