The much-anticipated racing simulator game Gran Turismo 5 finally came out last week, and the epic number of playable cars in the game has got gamers lining up just to see if it’s true.
Over one thousand real-life licensed cars – around 1, 031 of them, to be exact – have made its way into the game. GT5 has classified vehicles to perfection like they’re some kind of undiscovered species.
A series of Lamborghini and Bugatti vehicles have been included in the game for the first time, along with new hybrids Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Lexus LFA supercar, Ferrari 458 Italia, and a slew of expensive dream rides way beyond our dreams and budget.
There are, however, still plenty of vrooms in the game that are, at the very least, within the grasp of a third world country. Here are five within-reach GT5 cars you and your mates can actually drive in real life:
Subaru Impreza WRX STI
The highest standard edition trim in the Subaru Impreza compact car line, Impreza was first manufactured in 1992. It is now used in motor and auto cross events. When Motor Image first set up shop in the Philippines in 2007, they sold a few Subaru Legacy WRX STI's which can now be bought for P2 million and below, depending on the modifications it received.
