Fans of versus series games, rejoice! According to a statement by game developer Capcom last April, the much-anticipated sequel to the Marvel vs. Capcom series is now being developed for a 2011 release.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a crossover fighting game that will use characters from Capcom and Marvel Comics.
That's right: you can expect Street Fighter’s Ryu, X-Men’s Wolverine, The Avengers’ Iron Man and The Hulk, Resident Evil’s Chris Redfield, and Darkstalker’s Morrigan battling off one another.
Just like its hit predecessor, the game’s characters will be featured in 3D but the fight setting remains loyal at 2D. It is set for release for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles by next year.
