'Twas a good week for comic book geeks as upcoming animated DC blockbusters Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman had a handful of pleasant surprises for their fans.

For starters, the 2016 anti-hero film indulged us with some visual goodies in the form of a fresh batch of retro movie posters, a big chunk of which are stylized skulls for each member:

Of course, the collection wouldn't be complete without an equally eerie and menacing live group photo:

If those promo materials weren't enough to tickle your fancy, Warner Bros. Pictures also released the latest trailer...although this time with the help of a familiar operatic soundtrack. (Clue: It was sung by "royalty.")

Oddly satisfying, right? We seriously can't wait for another six months.

Meanwhile, after glimpses of her in previous Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailers, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman finally gets her spotlight after TV network The CW unveiled initial footage from the heroine-slash-heartbreaker's 2017 movie.

The teaser had enough character history, cast testimonials, and serious swashbuckling to keep us on the edge of our seats.

But at the end of the day, it's all about Gadot:
