20th Century Fox has finally released the first teaser trailer for the latest Wolverine sequel, aptly titled Logan.
Logan is set in 2024, and is based on the Old Man Logan comic book storyline. Set to Johnny Cash’s cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt,” the trailer features a very scarred Logan living in a postapocalyptic world where mutants are nearly wiped out.
Directed by James Mangold, the movie stars Hugh Jackman (The Wolverine, X-Men: Days of Future Past) as the clawed superhero, and Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl, Narcos) as Donald Pierce, the leader of a team of mutant-hating cyborgs. Also included in the cast are Patrick Stewart (X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: The Last Stand) as Charles Xavier AKA Professor X, Stephen Merchant (Hall Pass, Tooth Fairy) as the evil albino mutant Caliban, and Richard E. Grant (Bram Stoker's Dracula, Withnail and I) as Dr. Zander Rice.
