It's been two decades since Space Jam made every basketball aficionado's fantasy a reality, and four years since NBA player Jeremy Lin had that magical run aka "Linsanity."

If a comparison—or rather, contrast—is to be made, it will be how completely different these two pieces of pop culture turned out.

Fast forward to now, the live-action animated comedy is still revered by hoops fans of all ages, save for Charles Barkley's acting. A Space Jam sequel is also reportedly in the works, with LeBron James said to be taking over the role of Michael Jordan.

At the other side of the spectrum, Lin has yet to recapture his overnight glory, now on his fourth team (Brooklyn Nets) in four years. The guard however, seems intent on grabbing some of that spotlight from the popular film franchise, with the help of good friend and YouTuber Ryan Higa.

Unfortunately, the last part of Space Jam 3: Anime Edition! was pretty much the definition of Lin's career. You seriously have to watch till the end.
