The trash metal gods behind "Enter Sandman" and "Master of Puppets" have just released the official music video for their latest single, titled "Moth Into Flame."
Metallica reportedly premiered the song on The Howard Stern Show hours before its visual version came out in their YouTube channel.
Directed by Tom Kirk, the MV of "Moth Into Flame" features members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo immersed in a straightforward and aggressive jam inside a partially lit room.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Ulrich described the tracks in their 10th studio album, Hardwired...To Self-Destruct: "Most of the songs are simpler. We introduce a mood and we stick to it, rather than songs we've done where one riff happens and we go over here and then over there and becomes a journey through all these different soundscapes.
"The songs are more linear. ... It cruises along a little bit more than the last record."
Time to bang your head to Metallica's patented thrashing:
Hardwired...To Self-Destruct, the follow-up to 2008's Death Magnetic, is set for release on November 18.
