Yes, we get it already; Pokémon GO is such a huge hit. It currently has around 30,000,000 active users worldwide. It's gotten so successful that the company that owns the Pokémon trademark, The Pokémon Company (that's really their name), has started thinking of ways to make more dough maximize its potential. Talks are currently underway to develop a live-action movie based on the augmented-reality game.
Nicole Perlman, co-writer of Guardians of the Galaxy, along with Alex Hirsch, creator of the animated series Gravity Falls, are discussing the possibility of writing the first live-action Pokémon movie.
The movie will also be based on the upcoming video game, Detective Pikachu.
As of this writing, there are no reports yet regarding who will join cast and when they will start shooting the film but let’s hope they do catch 'em plans soon.
