Rejoice, everyone—it looks like the ’90s are officially back.
And that they have hot women on the cast, who we can’t wait to see in action on the big screen:
The Power Rangers franchise has been kept alive through various TV series—and innumerable Ranger colors, too. But then, nothing beats the first, and the movie reboot of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television series which aired from 1993 to 1995 is the ultimate throwback we need.
We really can’t wait for next year. And seeing the just-released character posters of the new Rangers aren’t helping us relax at all.
And here they are all together:
The film stars Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger, Becky G as Trini Kwan/Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor/Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as Kimberly Hart/Pink Ranger, and RJ Cyler as Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger. On the other hand, Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games trilogy, Pitch Perfect) will play the villain Rita Repulsa, the lead antagonist of the original Mighty Morphin series while Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) will be Zordon.
The new Power Rangers movie will morph into theaters March 24, 2017.
