Okay folks, you can stop worrying about Willie Revillame now, thank you.
In recent months, there have been reports that the jacket-bestowing show host was in dire straits—that he's in debt, has gambled away his riches, and is selling off his properties. It turns out none of those are true if YES! Magazine's recently released special on Willie is to be believed.
On the occasion of the debut of Revillame's new GMA 7 show, Wowowin, the entertainment magazine has turned the spotlight on the host, his armada of land, sea, and sky vehicles, his luxurious dwellings, and his rather impressive collection of polo shirts.
Collectively, these will tell you one thing: The reports about Willie's troubles have been greatly exaggerated. We've taken snapshots of the said magazine issue just before you can comment "Pics or it didn't happen!"
1) He's got a sweet home theater set-up.
Excerpts from the magazine: "A soundproof theater room is located in the basement. A staircase in the lanai leads to this mini-theater, which comes complete with a bar, La-Z-boy recliner chairs, and a video projector."
2) He's got what pretty much amounts to a resort for a home.
Excerpts from the magazine: "Willie Revillame the star has come a long way from the band drummer who earned P120 a night in the bars in the 1980s. We ask him: Having amassed so much wealth, what is his definition of what is expensive? 'Hindi ko naisip 'yon,' he answers. "Mahal? Wala.
3) Willie Revillame is to polo shirts as Imelda Marcos was to shoes.
Excerpts from the magazine: "Being 'masinop,' he has them grouped together according to color. His go-to brands when it comes to shirts are Hugo Boss, Lacoste, and Ralph Lauren."
4) He's got some expensive art pieces.
Excerpts from the magazine: "Evita Sarenas of Finale Art Gallery, where Willie bought most of his artworks, says about her client: 'Willie has taste, and he really knows what he wants.'"
5) His fleet of exotic cars remain.
Excerpts from the magazine: "He usually sells his vehicles after three to five years. He's just being practical, he says. 'Imagine mo, hindi ko nagagamit. Two thousand kilometers lang [ang itinakbo]. Five years na palang andiyan.'"
6) His most expensive vehicle though is the P100-million-plus Fairchild-Dornier 328JET.
Excerpts from the magazine: "Within the Philippines, Willie's plane has already traveled to Vigan, Naga, Coron, Bacolod, Aklan, Cebu, and Tacloban. It has also reached international destinations in Asia, including Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia."
7) His yacht alone is furnished better than our house.
Excerpts from the magazine: "Moored at the Manila Yacht Club harbor—on Manila Bay, along Roxas Boulevard in Malate, Manila—is a 94-foot, all-white yacht with the word Wil painted on both sides. The luxury boat has six rooms, four bathrooms, an entertainment area complete with a karaoke system, four outdoor lounge areas where guests can dine al fresco, a Jet Ski, a rubber boat, two kitchens, and an abundance of food and different kinds of beverages."
8) He's starting to give away money, again!
Excerpts from the magazine: "The Wowowin studio, which can seat a maximum of 400 people, has three distinct seating sections for its audience. Each section has rows of cushioned benches that are numbered and color-coded. The numbers and colors are vital in determining which audience members will participate in Wowowin's various games."
9) We're loving Wowowin's dance group!
Excerpts from the magazine: "The W.Girls are (L-R): Lyca Makino, 23; Joyce Burgos, 26; Bea Marie Holmes, 27; Aprilyn Gustilo, 24 (a.k.a. "Congratulations"); Nichelle Yvette Corral, 22; Samantha Flores, 24; Chiastine Faye Perez, 27; Samantha Page, 19; and Monique Natada, 24."
Hey, Papi Willie, maybe we can feature Ms. Corral sometime in the future, like we have April Gustilo and former EB Babe Joyce!
And there you have it, folks! To get the full scoop on Willie's charmed existence, go get a copy of YES! Magazine's June 2015 issue, available now in newsstands for P110.
