Transformers 4 is coming. So are the explosions. Here we preview those great balls of fire—with a glass of water in hand, to prevent our eyes from getting scorched.
The fourth installment of Michael Bay's giant robot shindig, Transformers: Age Of Extinction, will be coming out in June 27 this year.
In the recently held Super Bowl, the latest trailer for the mech-fest movie was shown. See it by following this link.
Three things can be deduced from the 35-second preview:
1) Robots still bring out our inner child.
2) Shia LeBouf is nowhere to be seen, with this guy replacing him:
It's Mark Wahlberg, everyone!
For that matter, there also were zero sightings of Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. The task of being the pretty girl being chased by robots are now squarely on the shoulders of 19-year-old cutie, Nicola Peltz.
It remains to be seen if she'll be able to bring out our outer adult the same way that Megan Fox did:
3) It's still a pretty explosive affair.
For better or for worse, it's still a Michael Bay joint, which means the explosions will not be lacking nor unsatisfying.
In fact, we counted the number of times something exploded in the trailer so we could somehow triangulate the number of explosions that might appear in the final film. Check them out below along with priceless reaction shots from Mark Wahlberg:
This ship, in the aftermath of what must've been a spectacular explosion. Insert badass robot (Prime?) coolly walking away from the crime scene.
This poor car that sliced through traffic and got itself sliced instead.
This pile of cars that got explosively farted on by a rude mech:
