Looks like Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, the youngest son of President Rodrigo Duterte, has finally given in to the call of showbiz.

The 29-year-old bachelor is set to host a new reality travel show on TV 5, titled Lakbai.

Lakbai means “Lakaw ta, bai” or “Lakad na, kaibigan!” It's also a play on the Filipino word “lakbay,” which means “to travel.”

The presidential son will star alongside Youtube sensation Bogart the Explorer, who, like him, hails from Davao City.

Wala eh, hindi ko na mapigilan kasi, ‘di ba? Nag-decide na lang ako to try showbiz,” Duterte said during the show’s launch earlier this month. "They didn’t convince me. Desisyon ko lang ito. Sayang din naman iyong suweldo. Iyon lang naman iyon. If this doesn’t work out, pwede naman akong umuwi sa Davao.”

Joining Duterte and Bogart the Explorer are Atty. Alexis “Pambansang Photobomber” Lumbatan, Sboi Malicay, and the group’s videographer, Andrei Apostol.

The show will also feature celebrity guests who grew up in the place the hosts visit.

According to the producers, Lakbai aims to showcase some of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. The program also promises to show a different side of the young Duterte as he bonds with his co-hosts who are also his good friends.

Lakbai will air for 8 weeks starting this Sunday, May 21, 8:45 PM, on TV 5.
