How serious? Let’s just say you’d be swimming in wads of cash in no time if you get to beat the MMA fighter who won in the video.
According to the South China Morning Post, Chinese tycoon Chen Sheng has offered a total of $1.45 million (roughly P72 million) to anyone who can take down Xu.
Chen made the offer after he apparently felt that Xu disrespected the Chinese martial arts culture when the latter made cocky comments saying that he was eliminating the “fake fighters” in the world of martial arts.
The reward was set up so that the winner of each match in five different challenges Xu takes on gets somewhere around $218,000 (roughly P10.8 million), while the loser still walks away with $72,400 (roughly P3.6 million).
Of course, this means that Xu can walk home with over a million dollars if he managers to win against all five challengers.
Xu meanwhile has been busy accepting a steady flow of challenges from various martial artists he angered.
