In case you missed it, the Philippines is currently playing host to the 2015 U23 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship. On-going at the Philsports Arena, the tournament features some of the best young female volleyballers in all of Asia, including our very own national team is part of the spike-fest.

A total of 12 countries (see full list here) are participating, with the games divided into four main rounds: the preliminaries, the second round, the classification round (for the 9th to 12th place), and the final round which consists of the the semifinals, and the finals. The Philippines shocked favored Kazakhstan in the first round in three sets, earning the team a ticket to the quarterfinals.

However, our Pinay bets lost all their games in the second round against Chinese-Taipei, Japan, and Iran. Don't worry thoughthey're still in contenti0n. However, they'll have to beat the top dog of Asian women's volleyball, China, in the quarterfinals if they want to move on to the semifinals.

Suffice to say, our U23 volleyball national teamheaded by UAAP MVP Alyssa Valdez and coached by champion coach Roger Gorayebhas a tough task of facing the Chinese giants. Don't worry, girls! We're behind you on this one! #Puso

Despite boxing and basketball hogging the sports limelight in the past few weeks, we've actually been keeping a keen eye on the festivities of the tournament. You probably know the reason: leggy girls in ball-busting action!
