Coach Chot Reyes has a lot to smile about these days. For one, he led Gilas Pilipinas to one of the most impressive and inspiring runs in the history of Pinoy basketball, and he obviously had a lot to do with #PUSO trending worldwide last week. In fact, had Gilas advanced to the semifinals of the FIBA World Cup, Chot and the boys would have been declared national heroes. Good times, right?

Which makes us wonder: Why the hell is Chot Reyes wrecking havoc on social media as of late? The coach recently turned to Twitter to express his thoughts on the disqualification of Andray Blatche from playing in the basketball tournament of the upcoming Asian Games.
Coach Chot is so pissed off, that he can't help but point out how inconsistent the Asian Games Organizing Committee is with their rulings.
In 2011 I recruited Jordan Clarkson, Steph Holt, Jason Brickman, Christian Standhardinger for d Asian Games, since it's not under FIBA rules— Chot Reyes (@coachot) September 10, 2014
In a nutshell, the Asian Games organizers ignored FIBA's eligibility requirements and went with the rules implemented by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). This isn't usually the case, since the Asian Games is normally held under FIBA rules.
That was scrapped coz d Asian Games decided to be governed by FIBA rules, thus disqualifying those Fil-ams. Now they refuse to abide by FIBA— Chot Reyes (@coachot) September 10, 2014
It looks like Coach Chot is on the brink of flipping out, especially with random netizens raining on his parade. Bashers claim that Blatche's disqualification is karma for Chot's decision to put Marcus Douthit, the naturalized player who helped bring Gilas to Spain, on the sidelines.
He doesn't have the time to deal with bashers like @twocents30, who insists that Tab Williams would make a better coach than him. Wait...who's Tab Williams again?
Coach Chot has also had it with players who begged off from the Gilas training camp, only to express their desire to return now that the team is at an all-time high. Besides, it's not like they're eligible to rejoin anyway.
Dear all, players who begged off d pool like James,Marcio,Greg CANNOT be in Asian Games anymore as they’re not in d 24-man roster submitted— Chot Reyes (@coachot) September 12, 2014
