The veteran NBA coach and the Portland Trail Blazers' starters are in the country to launch the first-ever Gatorade NBA Training Center! Join us as we absorb elite basketball knowledge from the trio!
Earlier today, September 11, FHM got the chance to hang out with NBA legend Avery Johnson and the Portland Trail Blazers' Robin Lopez and Wesley Matthews at the Gatorade Hoops Center. They're here in the country to help launch the first-ever Gatorade NBA Training Center, an intense two-part basketball clinic that features local coaches and cagers like UST's Kevin Ferrer and Aljon Mariano, among others.
Coach Avery was generous enough to simulate the plays that made his teams successful while Lopez and Matthews showed drills for effective offensive and defensive sets. After everything they taught us, feeling namin legit na kaming mag-coach!
Aside from conducting basketball clinics, the three will also head to Northern Cebu this Friday, September 12, to help rebuild the communities affected by Typhoon Yolanda as part of the NBA Cares and World Vision Philippines' ongoing recovery program. That's awfully nice of you, sirs!
Of course we won't let this this rare opportunity slip by without mingling with our idols. Check out the gallery below for our exclusive chat with the boys!
