According to Pacquiao who won his first term in the Senate during the May elections, his new career as a lawmaker paired with intense training for boxing was not easy, GMA News reported.
“You need to manage your time and that’s what I did in training for this fight while I am working in the office. I don’t have time for any other activities. All of my time is with working and training,” he said.
Pacquiao also shared how he had to sacrifice a lot of his extracurricular activities just to strike the right balance between his priorities.
“This time I managed my time and disciplined myself from going to my work [and] to my training and that’s what I did in the Philippines,” he said.
“I don’t have any time to spend with my friends, just time for hard work,” he added.
Aside from being a politician and a well-renowned boxer, Pacquiao is the playing coach of the PBA team Mahindra Enforcer. Other than this, he is also known as a pastor, occasional movie actor and a game show host among others.
Pacquiao will be facing Jessie Vargas for the WBO world welterweight title for his comeback fight at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on November 5.
