Ateneo Lady Eagles star spiker Alyssa Valdez said it best: "Ang wall, mahirap tibagin kung wala itong lamat."

She is, of course, talking about the De La Salle Lady Spikers, whom they are set to face in the UAAP Women's Volleyball Season 76 Finals today, March 5, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Spikers, who are gunning for a four-peat this year, will be enjoying a thrice-to-beat advantage over the Eagles in this series. "Parang wala naman silang weakness. Siguro ang kalaban na lang nila ay ang mga sarili nila," adds Alyssa.

We want to give the Eagles the benefit of the doubt, but even history isn't on their side. The last time La Salle swept the elimination rounds was in Season 74, where they lost Game One of the Finals to Ateneo but won the last two games to win the title. And did we mention that the Spikers have won 29 consecutive games dating all the way back to last season? That's unheard of!

So what can these blue-blooded girls possibly do to measure up to the green squad this time around? They can most certainly try to woman up in the following aspects:

Even though La Salle also has its share of beauties, Ateneo can totally battle them in a cutie pie contest. Look at these darlings!

If they could find a way to land the services of Rachel Anne Daquis (like they did in the Shakey's V-League) before today's game, we'd give them the trophy before the game even starts.

Maybe they can have Alyssa (who leads all scorers with 269 points this season) challenge the Lady Spikers to a spiking match, one player at a time.

A one-on-one digging match with Den-Den Lazaro (3.38 digs per set) also sounds like a pretty good idea.
