When it comes to PC gaming, Alienware is one of the revered brand names, given the kind of recognition reserved for deities. And it's quite understandable why. Alienware is known for creating worship-worthy gizmos, the kind that geeks consider as God's gifts to gaming. Their super hi-tech gadgets transport us mere mortals to a magical, lag-less world where the limit is only our imaginations...and the curfew our jowas have given us.

So when we learned that the brand has unveiled yet another marvelous beast, we immediately computed the amount of leaves that we have, told our old ladies, "Bhe, baka maging busy ako..." then prayed hard to be given endless, Napoles-like funds.

Why? Well, you should probably take a gander at the 2014 Area-51!

For those not in the know, the Area-51 is actually a line of customizable powerful desktop rigs that has been making gamers drool since 1998. The 2014 version is no different. Looking like a triangular piece of gaming badassery, it has a facade that simply stomps the boring, that's-so-last-year rectangular look.

Here it is once again:

But it's not just for show; the shape functions as a way to better cool down the device (because we all know that heat is a bitch for gaming rigs) by providing enough airflow. Also, since it's an Area-51, you can go all hardcore when it comes to customization.

Here, take a look:

In other words, you can replace, add, and/or remove hardware components (e.g. video cards, processors, memory) for a combination that best fits your gaming needs and budget.

Speaking of budget, there's still no word on how much it will cost or when it will officially arrive. Don't get your hopes up though; we bet it will be extremely pricey, just like its predecessors. Think in the $3,000 to $4,000 (around P130,000 to P175,000) range. Ouch?! Hey, we're talking about the absolute pinnacle of desktop gaming here!
