FHM Nation, Kikuo Ibe is coming to the Philippines!
For those asking who the hell he is, here's a clue:
Ladies and gents, that's a Casio G-Shock, a brand of watch that has grown to become one of the most popular ever. And yes, Ibe, a Japanese engineer, is its inventor. So you see, when it comes to the timekeeping industry, he's an effing rockstar.
Here's a photo of him looking all rockstar-ish.
G-Shock watches are primarily known for their rugged frame that allows it to survive falls from a height of several meters. That and these watches look really futuristic with all their digits, dials, and buttons. Ibe designed the first G-Shock watch, the DW-5000C, in 1983. Since then, more innovations and features have been added on the G-Shock series, including even tougher casings, Bluetooth capability, and atomic clock synchronization for top-notch accuracy.
Last year marked the 30th anniversary of the Casio G-Shock. In-line with the occasion, Ibe will be visiting the Philippines on February 28 as part of the brand's G-Shock Shock The World Tour. Mark your calendars, G-Shock enthusiasts!
Now, for those still unfamiliar with how awesome G-Shocks are, we listed down five reasons why we consider this watch among our generation's bad mofo! Jump to the next page and be prepared to switch timepiece allegiance!
