The 'Mega Phone' we went giddy over about a couple of months ago has landed, and it's absolutely monstrous. Called the Samsung Galaxy Mega, this phablet comes in a size that will surely make your current smartphone feel inadequate.
Allow us to say it's certainly bagay in the hands of these statuesque models...
But this one's not all about plus-size frames, there are other reasons why this large bad boy deserves its "Mega" tag, see for yourself below:
It's the Godzilla of phones
"Why hello there, little one," says the Galaxy Mega to the iPhone 5
We did say it's more than the size, but hey, it's the most obvious characteristic and probably the main reason why many of us will look at the Mega in the first place. Coming in at a humongous 6.3 inches, it dwarfs even its bro, the Galaxy S4, the HTC One, and the iPhone 5. We'd like to point out that all of these smartphones aren't on the small side either, which reminds us of the question...
Is it a phablet/tabphone?
Yes, you could consider it as such, thanks to its large size and ability to make/receive calls, send/receive text messages, and do other communication stuff normal smartphones do. In fact, it looks like any other Galaxy handset. Except it's big, really big. Its over-6-inch display means it's approaching the size of true-blue tablets, like the iPad mini and Nexus 7, and that it's larger than Sammy's other popular phablet, the Galaxy Note .
