Behold geeks, Apple has just unveiled yet another drool-worthy gadget that will surely look good next to that expensive cup of Joe you're sipping!
Ladies and gents, the all-new 2015 MacBook:
Man, those good looks shouldn't be kept hidden inside your man cave! If you ever score one (lucky you!), show the damn thing to the world, we won't judge you as douches!
Another look with all the available colors:
The new MacBook is another fine example of Apple's penchant for making handsome devices. And, at just 2 lbs, it's also the lightest Apple Macbook to date. It also measures just 13.1mm, making it among the thinnest laptops around.
If you were blown away by its beauty, you'll be equally impressed by what's under the hood. The 2015 MacBook sports a 12-inch Retina Display at a better-than-Full-HD resolution of 2,304x1404 pixels. Inside, a super energy-efficient Intel Core M processor runs the show while up to 8GB of RAM handles your multi-tasking needs. A 512GB solid-state drive is also included, which provides both storage and performance speed bumps (read: SSDs are faster than the usual hard disk drives).
But before you open your wallets to some Apple-branded pounding, you must know a couple of things first. First off, to achieve the 2015 MacBook's anorexic frame, Apple slapped only one connectivity slot to the device. Dubbed the USB-C, it functions as both the video-in and charging ports. So, if you want to connect multiple devices at the same time, you'll need what is called the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. Too bad it's not part of the package and will set you back an additional $79 (around P3,500). Not cool, Apple. Not cool.
The 2015 MacBook also offers a new way to click with the Force Touch trackpad that "vibrates" when you tap on it to give you the illusion that you're actually pressing on something. It also detects how hard you press and launches an appropriate action (e.g. right-clicking). We don't know about you but we like old school clickability for our trackpads.
There you have it, bros, Apple's latest and thinnest laptop! If you're willing to spend for the 2015 MacBook, know that it starts at P64,990 on Apple Store Philippines. As for availability, you'll have to wait at least a few more weeks as this stunner will be available in April.
