Leave it to Cherry Mobile to show you that quad-core phones don't need to be expensive.
The local company whose expertise is to unleash devices with bagsak-presyo SRPs has just launched something that will make our shallow pockets happy: a quad-core phone for only P3,999! Check it out below, the Flare 2.0!
The successor to last year's first-gen Flare, the Flare 2.0 has twice as many cores, which should make for a speedier mobile affair. It comes packed with 4GB of internal storage for your multimedia files as well as a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash for brighter selfies. 3G, Bluetooth, as well as built-in Wi-Fi will take care of the uploading part. It's also big in the display department with its 4-inch (800 x 480) touchscreen. And, just like its predecessor, it's also dual-SIM.
With those features, a P3,999-price tag should be enough for it to be called a bargain. Fact is, it's the cheapest quad-core smartphone we've seen so far, which bodes well for its popularity. As for us, we're just giddy there's at least one device that gives us a lift on the quad-core bandwagon without having to break our beloved piggy banks. Ayus!
