At may humabol pa!
Pinoy brand MyPhone closes their 2012 tech calendar with the release of another smartphone that will again make your wallets happy. Enter the A888 Duo, a device that has the word "dual" written all over it. We'll tell you about that in an a bit. But first let's talk about its looks. Its very good looks!
"WTF, kamukha ng Galaxy S III!" might be your reaction when you first see the A888 because, well, it does look like the smaller bro of the Korean superphone. But we think that it "drawing inspiration" from the S III is not necessarily a bad thing, since this means that the A888 Duo comes sleek and slim at just 8.9mm thick! Take another look at it below.

The Galaxy S III. May hawig!
The A888's 1GHz dual-core CPU goes hand-in-hand with 512MB of RAM to run the show for this dual-SIM device. Now you know why it reminds us of the word "dual." Aside from that, it packs 4GB of internal real-estate (expandable to 32GB via microSD), an 8-megapixel shooter with dual-flash (1.3-megapixel secondary shooter), 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
To top it all off, this baby's got a large 4.5-inch IPS (for more viewing angles) and touchscreen at 960 x 540 resolution. Nice!
The A888 Duo also comes packaged with Ice Cream Sandwich, although we would've preferred if it had Jelly Bean right out of the box instead. Still, those specs are not bad, especially for a device that's just P7,499. With this SRP, the A888 Duo joins the likes of the Cherry Mobile Titan and Flare in the pang-masa dual-core Android brood. That's enough to get it a thumbs up from us!
