Balls Channel, the home of the UFC in the Philippines, brought top light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson here in Manila! Swedish high five!

In line with this little detour, "The Mauler" is set to showcase his fight training and workout to the public this coming Sunday, November 10, 3 p.m. at the Trinoma Activity Center. Admission is free, so there's no excuse for you to miss out on this event! Rain or shine, we'll see you this weekend!

And because FHM desperately wants to be BFFs with the man who gave UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones the fight of his life, we went out of our way to engage Mr. Gustafsson in small talk.

Scroll down for our lively conversation!

UFC
The Dan Henderson-Vitor Belfort rematch is set to take place this Sunday, and we know you’re keeping a close eye on those two. Who are you betting on?

I don’t bet; I am not a betting man. But I think it’s a great fight and both are great athletes. Dan is the better wrestler and he’s got knockout power. Vitor, on the other hand, is a very explosive guy. He’s a very good striker and can mix things up with his kicks. It can go either way in this fight, but I think Vitor will win. I don’t know how he’ll beat Hendo, but that’s what I believe.

Vitor, huh?
His explosiveness and quickness will make all the difference. He’s a lot faster and a bit younger.

Do you feel a certain sense of pride whenever you duke it out with guys like Jon Jones and Phil Davis? Not anyone can claim that.
Well, Phil and I punch each other almost every day during training because we’re teammates now. But to be able to hit Jon in the face feels very good.

And how does it feel to get hit by Jon in return?
It felt good too because he doesn’t really hit that hard, ha ha!

You were totally winning that fight, what were you thinking heading into the latter rounds?
I came in there and I really believed in myself. In my mind I had the fight won. But I should have pushed harder to win the scorecards. He’s the champion, and it was such an even fight, so I should have done more.

Did you exchange any words after the bout?
No, we just hugged each other and congratulated each other after the fight.
