If there's one segment of the population that FHM is really envious of, it's the artists. These dudes and dudettes are just, for lack of a better term, crazy talented. Either when drawing on a piece of paper or graffiti-ing a wall, they just seem to come up with something pleasing—and if it's not that pleasing, they could always claim that "it's art."
Case in point are these artists we met at the awarding ceremonies for Pony Footwear's “Pony Show Off 2: Poster Art and Digital Film Competition” held last November 21 at 7th High in Bonifacio High Street. These aspiring creative minds (keyword: aspiring; translation: they're just going to get better) were tasked to interpret Pony's “Let’s Get It On” tagline through imaging, digital design, creative videos, and a short narrative. Hundreds of entries were submitted but only a few was able to, as Pony puts it, capture the astig spirit of the brand.
The winners for both Poster Art and Digital Film categories received cash prizes of P40,000 cash plus P10,000 worth of Pony shoes for First Place; P20,000 cash and P5,000 worth of Pony shoes for Second Place; and P10,000 cash and P5,000 worth of Pony shoes for the Third Place.
They also got to meet Pony’s new brand ambassador, actor Baron Geisler and one of FHM’s Sexiest, Paloma, and got to enjoy a rousing party hosted by DJ Leeza and multi-media star (and self-proclaimed heart throb) Ramon Bautista. There were also performances by equally talented musical artists Absolute Play, Isabella De Leon, Kitchie Nadal and Barbie Almalbis.
But the real stars here are the artworks, and you can hit the gallery below for that! Props to the winners!
