A former actor who played the role of the red ranger in the Power Rangers Wild Force TV series has pleaded guilty for murdering his friend with a sword.
According to the Los Angeles Times, 38-year-old Ricardo Medina, Jr. entered the plea during a hearing in the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Medina reportedly stabbed Josh Sutter to death after he forcefully entered the actor’s room in their apartment in Palmdale following an argument over parking back in January 2015.
He immediately called 911 to tend to Sutter’s injuries, but it was too late. Medina stayed at the crime scene until he was arrested by authorities.
With his admission, the court lowered the charge from first-degree murder to voluntary manslaughter. He is facing up to six years of imprisonment and will be sentenced by the court on March 30.
