The last weekend of April finished with a bang, but it wasn't the kind we'd cheer for: A massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Nepal resulting in the death of 3,218 people and counting. From a country that's no stranger to huge disasters, our prayers are with Nepal and its recovery.

While the outpouring of support for Nepal pervaded our Facebook feeds over the weekend, there were also bits here and there that provided us a dose of amusement. Here are some of our favorites in this week's FHM's Best Of The Weekend!

JOKE'S ON US: Jared Leto's new Joker revealed

David Ayer, the director of DC's 2016 film Suicide Squad, recently revealed the post-Heath Ledger Joker on his Twitter page:

In a reversal of the moody, brooding Joker from The Dark Knight, Leto's Joker is bright, bold, and probably hopped up on several dozen cups of coffee. The Internet's reaction wasn't too kind on the stylistic shift, but we'll pass on passing judgment until we see the real thing on the silver screen.

CAGED SUPERHERO UNLEASHED: Trailer for the
The Death Of Superman Lives movie released on YouTube

In the '90s, director Tim Burton and Nicolas Cage teamed up to make a Superman movie called Superman Lives. It featured a Superman suit that lit up like a Christmas tree, which is probably a good reason why the film was never finished.

Now, it's getting new life in the form of a documentary that examines its conception and eventual failure. Here's its latest trailer:

The documentary, called The Death Of Superman Lives: What Happened, will be released in the U.S. on May 1, and July 9 via online streaming.

PINOY PRIDE: Pale Pilsen gets
Buzzfeed treatment

Over the weekend, the beer of choice for the Tunay Na Lalake received some attention from Buzzfeed in an article called "18 Reasons San Miguel Pale Pilsen Is The Best Beer Ever."

It's just great to see one of our favorite Friday night companions get some international, ahem, buzz.

SUPERHERO SNAFU: Marvel artists sue
Iron Man movies for illegally using their armor design

Looks like Joker isn't the only comic book character under fire right now.

Brothers Ben and Ray Lai have sued Marvel for allegedly copying the armor of their own superhero, Radix, for use in the Iron Man movies. The two created Radix in 2001, but the comic ended its run in 2002. They were then hired by Marvel in the same year, but have since parted ways with the comic giant.

Now they're back, and they want remuneration based on this piece of evidence:

WITNESS THIS: LeBron James drains full-court shot

NBA über-star LeBron, whose Cleveland Cavaliers recently ousted the Boston Celtics in the NBA Playoffs, had a highlight over the weekend that showcases his bionic skills and kingly luck:

Yup, that was a one-handed, football-like toss from the other end of the court, the object of which hit nothing but net.

Not one to be outshone, Dwight Howard fired back with this one:

A different angle of @DwightHoward's full court shot, plus his reaction to seeing it played back.

INTERNET TOY OF THE WEEK:  The Starbucks Name Generator

You know how the popular coffee chain and its baristas usually get your name wrong? Whatsmystarbucksname.com pokes fun at that by letting you enter your name and simulating how Starbucks would usually hear it.

We ran the names of the Bubble Shakers on it, and had five minutes of Internet fun:

Arny Ross received a more common name:

Sam Pinto became the result of the subtraction of one vowel and the addition of another:

Max Collins became a guy:

Andrea Torres had her name transformed to how Pacquiao would probably say it:

TODAY IN WARDROBE MALFUNCTIONS: ABS-CBN reports that Alex Gonzaga had a wardrobe malfunction

The younger Gonzaga had a concert at the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night. Shortly, Alex's home network reported that she experienced a wardrobe malfunction. Naturally, we clicked on the link and were promptly, um, underwhelmed:

Man, wardrobe malfunctions surely have found a new level of tame.

GIRL FIGHT: Basketball wives of the PBA Finals get caught up in the emotion

Alex ain't the only Pinay to make a blip on our FHM radars this weekend, though.

Gmanetwork.com reported on Friday that a heated exchange between Talk N' Text forward Harvey Carey's wife and UP basketball player Camille Dowling-Ibanes, the wife of Rain or Shine forward Jireh Ibanes. Ryan Arana joined shortly, but authorities were able to step in before things really got ugly for these basketball players' fairer halves.

You know a series is pretty intense when extraneous fights between supporters of opposing camps arise.
