Today's Monday is one of the most awesome types of Monday: a payday Monday!
Yes, today, we were actually glad to suit up, get to work, and get our cash from the money machines. But what if you're not part of the work army yet? Don't fret, our friend; FHM's Best Of The Weekend is here to your rescue!
1) BLOCK OF THE WEEKEND: Tyson Chandler swats away someone's...shoe
Big man Tyson Chandler of the Dallas Mavericks is a former Defensive Player Of The Year. On December 13, he showed us why as he literally became a shoe-stopper, preventing the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry from returning to Marreese Speights his shoe, which he lost in a prior possession. What a play?
2) KALOKALIKE MODE: Anne Curtis transformed into Ariana Grande
ABS-CBN's It's Showtime made some noise earlier in the year for their ultra-popular "Kalokalike" portion. Over the weekend, Anne Curtis seemingly auditioned for the contest as she dressed up like pop superstar Ariana Grande, and sang her version of "Break Free." It's good eye candy...just remember to cover your ears.
According to TopGear.com.ph, your old plates will be replaced with the new standardized ones beginning next year, to be processed at the same time you renew your vehicle's registration. The replacement cost of the new plates is P450.The good thing? LTO won't be requiring you to surrender your old plate in case you're feeling nostalgic over it!
4) NO LONGER DEFENDING CHAMPS: South Africa's Rolene Strauss wins Miss World 2014
2013 was a great year for Filipina beauty queens as the country rattled off a string of wins, chief of which was Megan Young's Miss World victory—the country's first. This year's version of the contest was held at the International Convention Center in London, England over the weekend.
Unfortunately, our entry, Valerie Weigmann, wasn't able to help the Philippines repeat. She was stunning but ultimately only made it to the quarterfinals' field of 25. Winning the crown was South Africa's Rolene Strauss with Miss Hungary Edina Kulcsar, 23, winning First Princess and Miss USA Elizabeth Safrit, 22, bagging the Second Princess trophy.
5) GEEK HOUR: That rolling ball droid in Star Wars: The Force Awakensis a real-life working prop
We are genuinely excited about Star Wars again, and it's things like this that does it for us. Luke Skywalker, aka Mark Hamill in real life, revealed in an interview with Yahoo! Movies that that rolling ball droid you saw in The Force Awakens trailer was actually a real, working prop. Eschewing the typical CGI, the droid we know as BB-8 exists in real life and can actually roll around.
The "young" Skywalker adds, "They never cease to amaze me with what they’re able to come up with, you know? I said, 'How are you ever gonna top R2-D2, the most adorable droid in movie history?' They let me play around with it. I was running it all around at the creature shop up in Pinewood. I’m telling you, it’s an absolute delight."
Please make a toy for this, Star Wars bosses. We'll gladly buy one.
6) AND THE (INTERNET) CATFIGHT CONTINUES: Pacquiao to Floyd: "Shut up and sign!"
A few hours later, Manny Pacquiao came out with his reply via an interview with Spin.ph: “Gawin niya, hindi puro salita.”
A day after, promoter Bob Arum released his own statement regarding the May 2 schedule. He disliked it, saying that the date is an important date for the Mexicans—a date on which Mexican favorite Canelo Alvarez will also be in a potential fight against Miguel Cotto. Effectively, Mayweather will be "poaching" the date. Arum finishes, "To poach that date… shows a terrible disrespect for the Mexican people, both those living in Mexico and those living in the United States."
Finally, Mayweather once again opened his mouth today: "Bob Arum is in the way of the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. People don't really understand business. I was once with the promotional company Top Rank. I left Top Rank to become my own promoter."
Shaking our heads. When will this nauseating spit-fest end?
7) THE DREADED X-RATING: MTRCB bans Tragic Theater trailer

The film is about the Manila Film Center, which collapsed in 1981 during construction, trapping and killing a number of workers. The film takes us back to 1999 when a group of spirit questors attempt to appease the spirits that allegedly haunt the grounds. It opens in 2015.
Also, it has scenes like these:
8) BABE-WATCH: Pamela Anderson stars in Christmas teaser
Remember Kendall Jenner getting spanked by Santa? Two days ago, it was Pamela Anderson's turn to break the Internet, as she appeared in a racy YouTube clip by LOVE Magazine (the same mag that produced Kendall Jenner's video).
This is definitely the sexiest we've seen her in many, many years.
9) BIKINIS IN DECEMBER: Meg Imperial sizzles in red two-piece
If you think 43-year-old Pamela is hot, here's something to get you all tingly even more. FHM cover girl Meg Imperial is this year's White Castle whiskey calendar girl. And as tradition dictates, the White Castle girl posed with a white horse as you'll see in the video below.
But we know what you're thinking: Who cares about the horse?!
10) SAY, WHAT?: Lindsay Lohan now has her own videogame!
Wild child Lindsay Lohan is moving further away from movies and turning her attention on videogames. Over the weekend, the iOS and Android game, The Price Of Fame, was released. Designed by Glu Mobile, the game has been reviewed by gaming site, Polygon, as "funny, trashy, and surprisingly self-aware."
It's a game where you guide a young Hollywood actress to fame...or her utter destruction. Sounds familiar? If you've ever wished for a LiLo simulator, well, here you go, buddy.
