It's the first week of summer, which means there's no reason to be sad! Until we remember that it's a Monday today, that is.

Fortunately, we are here to save you from drowning in a pool of misery with the best bits from the weekend that was. Here now is FHM's Best Of The Weekend!

1)   GIRL POWER: Ronda Rousey beats Cat Zingano in 14 seconds

UFC Women's Bantamweight title challenger Cat Zingano attempted to surprise superwoman Ronda Rousey with a flying knee to open their championship match on Sunday, March 1 (Manila time).

Zingano's gambit paid off horribly, resulting in a fight that ended after 14 seconds, with Rousey pinning her arm down successfully.

Zingano only had one word to say after the fight: "Fuck."

No words have been truer.

2)   A TALE OF MANY FONTS: Artists summarizes 2015's Oscar-nominated films with clever title typography.

Korean artist Ji Lee crafts a summary for this year's Oscar movies the only way he knows how: with clever typography.

By creatively manipulating fonts, Lee was able to come up with "word puzzles" for all the eight "Best Picture" nominees in this year's Oscar's. Can you figure out all of them?

3)   IF YOU HAD HER LOVE: Jennifer Lopez is looking for love at a bar near you

J. Lo, a three-time divorcee, is open to meeting a guy in a bar and possibly falling in love with him. There's only one problem for us Filipinos though: It requires that we visit a bar around Hollywood where she resides.

For those lucky enough to meet Jenny on their block, go ahead and try your luck. This is because, according to a report from Dailymail.co.uk, Jennifer is quite open to meeting somebody in a local bar:

"I can do whatever I feel like doing, if I felt like going to a bar, that's not my thing but if I felt like going to a bar and meeting somebody or meeting somebody casual, it could happen," Lopez said on Brit talk show, Lorraine.

She finishes: "You just never know. You just have to be open to whatever possibilities life kind of presents to you. It's not like I'm walking round the mall every weekend but if I met somebody there the day I was there, that would be fine."

4)   HOLLOW MOMENTS: Have you seen Russell Westbrook's facial dent?

In a game against the Portland Trailblazers last Friday, February 27 (Manila time), Russell Westbrook managed a monster line of 40 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Unfortunately, he also managed to get this facial dent after taking a knee from teammate Andre Robertson:

This was the aftermath:

Adding insult to injury: The Thunder lost, 115-112, in overtime. Westbrook has now undergone facial surgery and will return in around a week.

5)   CALL ME MAYBE (PART 2): Carly Rae Jepsen has just recorded the sequel to "Call Me Maybe"

And it's called "I Really Like You."

You can listen to it on Vulture's website. See for yourself if it's as catchy as the 2011 hit.

6)   JURASSIC CAR: A Lamborghini that sounds like a T-Rex

Oh man, oh man, oh man. Lamborghinis, for a fact, sound awesome from the moment they come out of the showroom. How do you make them sound even gnarlier? Let the guys from custom shop Reiter Engineering show you:

How does Reiter make it sound like a Jurassic Beast? Maybe you can pick up a few tips from its description: ""Called the Extenso R-Ex, Reiter Engineering’s racer is based on the Gallardo LP560-4 GT3 FL2 and is limited to ten units, most likely because there aren’t that many GT3 donor cars out there. The R-Ex weighs 2,590 pounds, comes with a wider carbon body, has more power, more downforce and more drama."

7)   HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY, SELF-DEPRECATING WEEKEND: College students poke fun at their last names

On February 28, Abs-cbnnews.com reported the hottest thing to go viral over the weekend: college students poking fun at their last names.

According to the report, the wave began when a student posted a complaint about how her last name sounds like "bitch" on Facebook "confessional" group, FEU Secret Files.

The whole thing snowballed from one complaint to a deluge of students, presumably from FEU, making clever jokes about their last names.

Here are some, as screen-captured by ABS-CBN:

8)   LIVE LONG AND PROSPER: The universe has taken back a true geek hero, Leonard Nimoy

The great Leonard Nimoy/Spock passed away on February 28, Manila time, with his death caused by complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). He was 83.

Spock, who was known for the phrase "Live long and prosper," proved that it was chic to be geek, and left us this fitting tweet days before his death:

9)   YET ANOTHER BREAK THE INTERNET ATTEMPT: Kim Kardashian celebrates 27 million Instagram followers with (surprise!) a photo showing her butt!

The infamous celebrity who has made it her life's work to destroy the Internet recently reached 27 million followers on Instagram—thus making her the second biggest Instagram celeb after Beyoncé and her 27.1 million followers.

She celebrated the feat the only way she knows how: by posting a racy photo showing her infamous behind.

27 mil!!!!! Thank you so much!!!! I love you all!!!!! 😘

10)   MOVE OVER, KLAY: Xavier Rathan-Mayes scores 30 points in under five minutes in NCAA game.

Last February 27 (Manila time), Florida State University's Xavier Rathan-Mayes joined Klay Thompson this year in the pantheon of unbelievably hot scoring streaks.

The 6'4" freshman, a guard, scored 30 points in the last 4:38 of their game, which included six three-pointers, a pair of layups, and eight free throws.

One can even argue that Xavier's scoring run was hotter than Klay's. Xavier produced 6.48 points per minute while Klay scored 3.7 points per minute. Sure, the NBA is a different beast from the NCAA, but it was still an unbelievable stretch.

The bad thing: Xavier's team still lost, 88-71, to the University of Miami.
