A fireman from Mexico fell to his death after he attempted to turn off a giant billboard which was showing pornographic material on the Periferico Sur highway.

According to the Mirror Online, fireman Alvaro Jimenez Gonzalez was part of the team sent to disable the billboard following complaints from concerned citizens.

But unfortunately, Gonzales lost his balance and fell to his death.

“We regret the death of our pal Alvaro Jimenez Gonzalez from the fire brigade. All the support of our institution and of the government of Mexico will go to the family or our friend,” fire brigade director Raul Esquivel said.

The billboard initially started to show a looped video from a popular porn site of a woman pleasuring herself with a sex toy.

Apparently, this was caused by hackers who struck at midnight and replaced the billboard advertisement with porn footage.

Authorities have called out billboard owners to improve their security to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The company that owns the billboard for their part has already apologized to the public.
