Houston Rockets ace James Harden is facing trouble off the court after recently bowing out to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA playoffs.

According to Bleacher Report, the son of NBA legend Moses Malone, Moses Malone Jr., added Harden to an ongoing case against four others.

In the lawsuit, Malone accused Harden of paying the suspects $20,000 (nearly P1 million) to beat him up and rob him at the V-Live strip club last year.

Malone believes Harden felt “disrespected” after he openly criticized the Rockets guard for charging children $249 (roughly P12,400) to attend his basketball camps.

Here’s one of Harden’s basketball camps:

Harden, through his legal counsel Rusty Hardin, has already denied the allegations.

“Unfortunately, I am afraid this is just another example of people shopping for a deep pocket when they find that the people actually responsible have no money,” Hardin said.

This isn’t the first time that Harden has faced legal trouble outside the court.

Back in 2013, Harden reportedly went for a settlement with a Los Angeles Lakers fan, whom he allegedly punched after the latter shouted at him, saying that Kobe Bryant “owns your ass.”
