Sometimes, Manila traffic can get so bad that we can't help but spew R-rated language like "Put@76!7@, wala nang mas lalala pa dito!!!" True, the metro's thoroughfares can get really clogged up like a snot-filled nose, but we're not really alone in dealing with this kind of road congestion.

A study conducted by motor oil company Castrol listed down the cities with the worst traffic around the world. The research used information obtained via TomTom (a popular supplier of navigation and location products) navigation devices in 78 countries.

The stats were fed into an algorithm to determine how many times a car starts and stops in a kilometer, then the resulting number was multiplied by the average driving distance in a given location. The higher the final figure, the shittier the traffic condition is in that city.

So, which cities have the worst carmageddons according to the study? Check out the Top 10 below along with photos of how effed up the traffic is in those places.

Yes, Manila isn't on the list. But before you rejoice and say, "We good, Manila. We good," we've learned that our fair city actually isn't part of the study. For all we know, our brand of traffic might also rank way up there if included in the index.

Bummer, we know. But at least we can take solace in the fact that, if ever we visit the aforementioned cities, we won't be shocked and will even be able to live in the hellish traffic conditions we might encounter there. #SanayanLangYan
