South Korean officials claim that North Korea has executed one of its vice premiers.

"Vice premier for education Kim Yong-Jin was executed," Seoul's Unification Ministry spokesman Jeong Joon-Hee was quoted as saying in an Agence France-Presse report.

The reason for the execution, though, borders on unbelievable.

There are reports that Kim lost his life because he "fell asleep" during a meeting presided over by leader Kim Jong-Un, who has been tagged as a "megalomaniac dictator."

Al Jazeera quotes another South Korean official (who didn't want to be named), who revealed, "Kim Yong-Jin was denounced for his bad sitting posture when he was sitting below the rostrum during a session of North Korea's parliament, and then underwent an interrogation that revealed other 'crimes.'"

As such, Kim was killed by a firing squad as "an anti-party, anti-revolutionary agitator. The execution was carried out sometime in July.
