The camp of Cebu City road rage suspect David Lim, Jr. has offered a P300,000 reward in exchange for the uncut copy of the video that shows the full confrontation between Lim and the nurse he shot over the weekend.
According to Lim’s legal counsel, Atty. Orlando Salatandre Jr., the unedited video will prove that Ephraim Nuñal’s group provoked his client prior to the incident, the Inquirer reports.
“I appeal for help. I know there are things to be revealed in that dash board camera video. Evidence will not lie. It will speak for itself,” the suspect said.
Lim earlier claimed that he shot Nuñal in self-defense after he felt threatened by the nurse and his two companions. He added that there was a brawl that was not shown in the uploaded video.
Speaking for Lim, Salatandre further explained that his client who was with a female companion that time had no intention to hurt Nuñal but was forced to shoot him in the legs after he kept coming near him while they were arguing.
The video went viral on Sunday where Lim was showed arguing then shooting Nuñal along F. Sotto St. in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City.
Lim is currently detained at the Regional Intelligence Division office in Cebu City after surrendering to authorities on Tuesday while Nuñal is recuperating at the the Perpetual Succour Hospital.
