Here’s some medyo bad news to start the week.

According to a report from Yugatech, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has filed for a memorandum that requires all internet service providers (ISPs) and telecommunication companies to filter out and automatically block any pornographic sites in the country

That will really suck, especially since Filipinos have been listed by PornHub as the 15th most frequent porn watchers in the world. Does this mean we have to say goodbye to Maria, Sasha, Tori, and Stoya? Say it isn't so!

But you have to understand that the agency’s call to action aims for the greater good. The NTC believes that restricting access on adult materials online and blocking porn sites will be an effective way to battle cyber-porn and child pornography in the country. For that to happen, however, we're all going to have to sacrifice YouPorn and RedTube. Aaawww.

So what will happen if the Philippines indeed become a porn-free country? Here are our thoughts:

[UPDATE: It turns out that we're not entirely closing our doors to the world of porn after all. According to an updated news report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the NTC is only proposing the ban of websites containing child pornographic materials. So no more child porn from now on, okay pervs?]

1. You'll Need To Download Porn—Again

"Wag kang magulo, 1% na lang!"

Yes, thankfully we can still download. Let's just hope you have a fast internet connection and lots of hard drive space to save your precious stash. And if you do, pakopya kami!

2. You'll Be Going Back To Manong Dibidi

Well, as if you didn't peek at his goods and/or bought a copy of Barely Legal a couple of years back. It's still illegal though!

3. Or To The Video Rental Store!

Remember the golden times of ACA Video and Video City? And you "accidentally" stumbling into the adult section? We're kind of smelling a comeback.
