Police chief Director General Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa will take no excuses from police officers who fail to uphold the image and integrity of the Philippine National Police (PNP) even during their private time in social media space.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Dela Rosa expressed his dismay over a netizen believed to be a cop who apparently sexually harassed a female anti-Marcos protester on Facebook, GMA News Online reports.

"Bakit naging pulis yun? Baka hindi nakapasa ng neuro-psychiatric exam yun. Bakit ganun ang utak [niya]?" he asked.

Dela Rosa also said they will have the cop retake the PNP's neuro-psychiatric test. If he fails, he will be asked to leave the police force.

"Dapat ipakita mo na maginoo ka, matino at kagalang-galang na pulis," he said.

The police chief was reacting to lewd comments made by a certain Christian Plantinos who suggested a threesome with a female protester who joined the rally against the Marcos burial.

Netizens deduced that Plantinos is supposedly a member of the PNP based on photos on his profile showing his police uniform.

The PNP is currently checking their records to check whether Plantinos is indeed part of the police force.

Meanwhile, here are some other untoward comments stemming from the recent anti-Marcos burial that show rather violent and uncivilized remarks against the protesters.
